As part of the new Hive Collection of holiday lodges from Willerby Lifestyle, The Reef has a cool retro style, with bold colours and wood cladding creating a laid-back surfing vibe. Other Hive themes include The Bluebell, with its woodland lodge feel, and The Deck, which is perfect for a coastal retreat.
Although it looks like a mini-lodge from the outside, it’s designed to meet the needs of glampers, festival-goers and families looking for a more stylish, comfortable accommodation option for up to four people.
It’s certainly one of the most eye-catching units to be launched in time for the 2017 holiday season.
Manufactured using Fermacell walls to provide first rate insulation, the units also include central heating throughout and LED lighting. Inside there is also a practical kitchenette, a shower room, and a lounge with two fallout beds. Its clever use of space creates a light and spacious feel, and there’s plenty of storage provided to keep it clean and clutter-free.
With a high specification finish inside and out, the Hive Collection is designed to last for 60 years. This makes it an ideal investment for holiday parks.
Compliant with EN1647, their compact size enables these pods to be easily moved into place for festivals or events. Speaking about the launch, Phil Parks, Willerby Innovations technical sales manager, said: “The glamping trend has taken the industry by storm and has created a new generation of campers who want to do things differently.
The new Hive Collection combines the comfort of a hotel with a compact space for a camping experience with a difference. We’ve had a lot of fun creating the design themes for the collection, which is in essence what glamping is all about. I’m looking forward to seeing them in use on campsites and holiday parks in the future.”
If anyone thinks lodges and pods are for older visitors, the The Reef completely bursts that myth. It’s super-cool holiday accommodation for people of all ages – and even an additional space option for families at home.
