Tingdene’s Country Lodge is sure to impress if you’re looking for a lodge in which to set the scene for some superb family holidays.
Country Lodge: external features
The lodge is available in a range of exterior cladding and window frame options, enabling it to fit into most environments.
The front elevation is almost entirely glass/windowed, making this lodge feel special in a park with a view.
The Country Lodge concept
Internally, the combination of modern contemporary and natural colours works really well, creating a warm and inviting space.
It’s designed to be practical and the materials used will enable it to weather some serious use.
This makes it a contender for a buyer wishing to stay for long periods, or someone looking for an investment to let.
However, what makes the Country different from others of its type is that it has personality in its design.
The main living space is open plan, with vaulted ceilings and a light, airy feel. The ‘L’ shaped kitchen has plenty of storage. It’s also extremely well equipped, with hob, oven, microwave and extractor hood, integrated dishwasher, and wine cooler.
The hob and extractor with drop lamps either side is quite a feature in the divider. This also serves as a breakfast bar with four stools. There’s also room for a large circular dining table, from which there are views out to both the side and front of the lodge through French doors.
In the lounge there’s a feature wall with inset fireplace and shelving. Spacious sofas are set sociably and also symmetrically to give the room lovely visual appeal. Everything is bathed in light from the windows on the side and another set of French doors to the front. They’ve thought of everything with this lodge.
Hallways and boot room
There’s quite a bit of additional storage in the hallways, which are light and bright. As you come through the entrance door, an ingenious arrangement creates a boot room, complete with seat. It even has an extra light to help you take off dirty shoes.
The family bathroom shows some luxurious touches, delivered in a way which should appeal to everyone. The room is particularly well-designed, with a good amount of floor space. A plinth behind the sink houses ornaments or practical bits and bobs, and there’s a large mirror with inset spotlights.
Large, stone strip-styled tiles work beautifully, and a chrome ladder radiator is a nod to practicality. The bath also houses a waterfall shower, so has a dividing screen to keep things tidy. A little window high up at the end of the bath makes sure this room is never dark.
Master bedroom with walk-in wardrobe and en-suite shower room
The master is a large and airy bedroom. Wood paneling on the ceiling and walls gives it a lovely, modern feel. Large full-length windows provide natural light, and a window strip above the bedhead is dressed with Roman blinds. Storage is available in the walk-through wardrobe, which leads to the en-suite shower room. The en-suite follows the same design theme as the family bathroom. It feels more spacious than most en-suites with a large walk-in waterfall shower and mirroring to the opposite wall. Again there’s a useful ledge, which makes a real difference in a bath/shower room, both practically and visually.
Second bedroom with walk-in wardrobe and en-suite shower room
The second bedroom also has panelling to the walls in two different orientations, and the eye is drawn to the vaulted ceiling. Don’t miss touches such as plentiful wall plugs and built in over-bed lights to help make evenings here relaxing. There’s also room for a double wardrobe, offering further storage space.
Another great lodge from Tingdene. They don’t mess about when thinking about what works practically for both parks and lodge owner. The concept is well thought through too. The Country lodge is designed to withstand a lot of use, so it’s perfect as a treat in a hire fleet, or for those wishing to make regular use of it. If it’s just for occasional use, it’ll probably still look new in 10 years time. The design theme won’t date quickly, and is free of faddy elements. However, the Country still succeeds in being special, making this model a win-win option however you may use it.
