Coast View was built for those who believe that a break should be supported by the finer things in life. People who want the feel of the French Riviera without having to leave the country,

Coast View is located in Devon, a county renowned for its sleepy fishing villages and rustic towns. The park is sited on a hill top that offers spectacular views of a scooped-out bay, peppered with luxury yachts and motorboats.

From the deck of your holiday home, you’ll see Shaldon on the Jurassic Coast, which comes into its own as the sun goes down, lighting up in a twinkling kaleidoscope of colours as the restaurants and wine-bars open for business.

However, you may prefer to stay in and enjoy the opulence of your luxury lodge. You can enjoy a glass of something special on your own private deck, and simply soak up a sunset. Or you may choose to watch Britain’s oldest passenger ferry, which dates back to Saxon times, carrying visitors across the estuary to Teignmouth.

Fine dining made easy

Customers to this lovely park come to unwind, and enjoy spectacular views of the coast and some of the finest wine-bars and restaurants in the West Country.

Nearby, you’ll find the ODE Restaurant, which offers sublime fine-dining. It has achieved the coveted status of Sustainable Restaurant of the Year, beating places such as The River Cottage.

If that title makes you think of mung-beans and incense, think again. The ODE restaurant offers dishes, such as butter-poached native lobster with bok choy and Sladesdown Farm guinea fowl with Ashridge organic cider sauce.

Such is ODE’s popularity that the restaurant has spawned a sustainable, hillside café. There you can enjoy simple food that’s cooked to perfection, whilst enjoying the views over the beach.

Designed for excellence

Coast View is arranged so that visitors can enjoy as much peace and solitude as they want. The lodges are exceptional. Each appears more like a boutique hotel suite than a lodge, raising the bar in terms of quality and luxury. They include huge private decks, wi-fi, Sky TV and every convenience you could wish for at your fingertips.

In addition, while Shaldon and its offerings are only a stone’s throw away, the park feels entirely separate. This gives you the choice to go out and explore, or to stay in and enjoy the peace and privacy.

There are two main lodge developments: Ocean Drive and Shaldon Retreat. Each has wonderful views out towards the coastline. On a clear day it’s possible to see right the way along the Jurassic Coast towards Portland Bill.

Buying a lodge or caravan home

Buyers of a luxury lodge or caravan holiday home at Coast View benefit from a full 12-month owner season. This allows you to enjoy a five-star break at any time of year, and at the time that is most convenient to you.

Prices range from £115,000 through to £350,000. There is just one plot left on Ocean Drive and there are three double plots available on Shaldon Retreat. Finance is available subject to status through Black Horse. Plus, there’s a fully managed subletting service to help you offset your costs or earn you extra income.
